Get the Dirt
Number of Nebraska t-shirts currently in my closet:
5 — and each one makes me feel a little more at home here in Nebraska!
My favorite library vending machine snack:
Cheddar popcorn—salty, cheesy, and just the right kind of comfort during a busy day.
The best four-legged animal:
Dogs! I grew up around dogs and have always admired their loyalty, warmth, and ability to sense when someone needs a little extra love.
On a Serious Note
Career choice as a child:
I wanted to be a psychiatrist. I have always been fascinated by the mind and drawn to understanding and supporting people's emotional and mental well-being.
Piece of advice to students:
"Give yourself permission to ask questions, explore different paths, and grow at your own pace. You don't have to have it all figured out—you are here to explore, and we are here to support you."
Best thing about working with students:
Supporting students as they discover who they are and what they want to pursue. As someone who came to the U.S. as an international graduate student with limited awareness of many of the resources available, I understand how overwhelming things can feel. That is why I love helping students find clarity, confidence, and community.
